没有重心的家 An apartment without center
这是一个位于中国北京的单元住宅改造项目，设计者是李喆和刘晶。在当代中国的城市中，大多数居民的住所是集合式的商品住宅，其中以围绕起居室组织的“厅室”户型最为典型。相对宽敞的起居室在空间上成为整个户型的重心，其他功能以一种从属的角色成为起居室周围的片段空间。这种空间组织方式也逐渐被大多数人所认可，成为共识。 This is a interior renovation design in Beijing which is designed by Chinese architects Lee Chul & Liu Jing. In the city，most Chinese people live in an apartment which are designed by commercial operation. In this kind of apartment, Most family life is happened in the living room , the living room become the center of gravity of an apartment. And, obviously ,this is a consensus of most people.
李喆和刘晶的设计是对这种共识的一次反思：空间的组织可以影响人的行为，作为居住空间，要么是让居住者被动的去适应既定俗成，要么就是通过主动的调整来适应居住者。这个设计选择了后者，通过对空间的重新划分，打破原户型的居室界限，消解厅室住宅的片断化，以及变换了空间对生活行为的约束，使得整个居室没有了明显的重心。在失去重心的家中，动态的、连续的行为模式突破了片段式的日常，各个相互联通的空间因为人的居住行为而时刻处于被激活的状态。 Lee chul & Liu Jing’s design is a reflection of the consensus: As everyone knows, spatial organization can influence people’s behavior. And being the living place for human, people can force themselves to adapt it, or adjust the space to adapt to their own. By the re-division of the space , the design chose the latter. The designer remove the partition wall , kill the boundary of program, and try to create an apartment without center.
器物空间 设计首先拆除了原有户型中所有的轻质隔墙，抹去原有厅室格局的功能分布，在仅剩的承重墙和给排水条件的限定下，重新思考空间的尺度和划分。设计将日常必须的床、柜、盆、电视等家具定义为器物，通过新置入的隔墙为每件器物找到与自己体量和功能相宜的空间，使得器物从常规依附于功能空间的境遇中转变为对空间的主宰。 Furniture Space After remove the partition walls, the designer is focus on the scale of different furniture. In our minds, the furniture is usually stands in a part of a room, if we change the scale of the room as big as a furniture, the traffic space will be released, meanwhile the furniture is as same as a room.
公共空间 在器物空间重新建立的新格局中，通常尺度的门被用于狭小封闭的储藏间，而以往作为居室划分的重要界限的门被放大尺度的门洞所替代，使得原本限定在门内的属于各居室的独立交通空间被剥离出来。这些原本独立的交通空间被释放并整合联通在一起，形成了连续的厅非厅、廊非廊的公共空间。 Public Space The new design divided the apartment into two parts, the furniture space and the public space. The public space is composed by traffic area, if we walk into the public space, we can not make a decision of where we are, in the living room or in a corridor.
生活场景 器物空间和公共空间的组合，还不能成为真正意义的生活空间。人不能只蜷缩在静态器物空间里，也不能始终徘徊于动态的公共空间中，更多的激励手段会引导人的行为，以人的活动为媒介将两类空间关联。由此，在公共空间中置入人身体尺度的家具，包括一组餐桌椅、一个沙发、一个工作台，这些可以驻足的地方模糊了不同空间的特征，上演着最基本的生活场景。 Living Area The furniture space provided us the basic program, the public space give us the traffic possibility, but we still need a scenes to enjoy the daily life. Though, we place some seating furniture to build a living area, a dining table、a sofa and a working table will be help to combine the furniture space and the public space.
关联空间 限定的器物空间、联通的公共空间和生活的日常一并，构成了这个没有重心的家。大尺度的门洞设计，使得由器物空间与公共空间组成的功能界限变得模糊，空间相互交织，复合联通。不同的功能通过大尺度的门洞将其他空间借用；公共空间在为器物空间提供功能场所的同时，因为交通的需要自身也被使用着。每个空间都扮演着双重的角色，被使用着又似乎没有被使用着。 Connection Space The new apartment not only divided into furniture space and public space, and also could be divided into different program. when you are watching TV or having dinner, you would not find out the boundary of each program, you are in a contiguous scenes. Every program area could be borrowed each other, and each space has two characters, borrow or be borrowed.
独立空间 当然，这样的矛盾需要在适当的时机变得清晰。因此，在每个大尺度门洞所形成的功能界限上都引入了白色纱帘，根据需要开敞或封闭，空间也因此在关联与独立中不断变换立场。另外，纱帘的意义一方面承担了界定空间的作用，一方面也因其柔软、轻质、半透的特质，柔化了界限。 Separated Space Sometimes, this uncertain status should be more clear. Though, every program area is separated by a translucent curtain to make each space more privately. The curtains are not only make a pass through experience, and also help the space turns to be clear, turns to be blur, and turns to be soft.
